My 40 years of experience in the field of international education convinces me that the future belongs to students who have been forged by a cultural upbring in China and tempered by insight gained through a Western education. Every field one can imagine in the future – science, economics, medicine, engineering, hospitality, politics, commerce – will be shaped by the symbiosis of internationalism. Those whose education is rooted in an “East meets West” experience will be at a distinct advantage.
